  These are the poorest sounding albums in my collection, including both this one and the second volume. I bought both of them new on the same day from the same store. The mixing is absolutely terrible. The vocals are incredibly thin and over-compressed. There's so much surface noise it's like a hurricane, and the whole mix sounds muffled. It's a huge difference compared to the digital version, it's like night and day.

  Awesome pressing and version - I pre-ordered mine right away but as others mentioned, the batch got messed up and a lot were ruined. My order got canned with no plans for a re-press or swap. Fortunately, I managed to snag a copy on the secondary market. The sound's not that great - it's okay but it's not much of an upgrade from the streaming version in my opinion. Happy I got it for the uniqueness of the press and the tracks, but the sound quality doesn't really impress me.

  Based on what others have said, the quality of this pressing seems to vary quite a bit. Unfortunately, mine didn't turn out so great. The sound is quite muddy and flat. It's nowhere near as good as my Vol. 2.
