  Plumbline's first album, CIRCLES, plunges into the IDM scene, featuring meticulously stacked sounds and fragmented vocals, ranging from the somber "Circle 01" to the more expansive "Circle 02," with subtle rhythmic details humming in the backdrop. Generally, the melodies are straightforward and unembellished, the beats rich yet unobtrusive. The gong-inspired tones on "Circle 04" hint at a chill tribal vibe, while "Circle 05" is more buoyant and breezy, even as a kick drum sneaks into the mix. A touch of melancholy seeps into "Circle 07," and a bit of refinement into "Circle 08." "Circle 09" surprisingly feels light, despite the rough percussion, and "Circle 10" wraps up the album on a sweet note. Quite enjoyable.
