In my opinion, this is Chico Buarque's finest album to date! It includes the powerful track Sinhá, a heartbreaking tale of a slave who was blinded by his master after she fell in love with him. This was exactly the album I needed to listen to today. It's a slow samba with a Bossa Nova flavor, reminiscent of Astrud Gilberto's style. Planning a beach trip? Bring these songs along and enjoy them with a refreshing "caipirinha". Feeling down, anxious, or stressed? Put on these tracks, and they'll work wonders to keep you healthy. Chico Buarque's music just keeps getting better with time. Sure, we all love his "Cotidiano", but this LP is packed with 10 incredible songs that you won't want to skip a single one of!
