This record sounds incredible, it's my first MFSL purchase and it truly amazed me as soon as the needle hit the vinyl, no hiss or background noise at all. The mastering job on this LP is outstanding and it comes in a beautiful tip-on jacket with some cool info about the record inside the gatefold. This one sounds insane, if you spot it at your local shop, I'd definitely recommend giving it a spin. This record is a gem, it's way underrated in the MoFi collection and underrated overall. Fantastic record, such a fun listen.
Absolutely fantastic recording and excellent pressing. Like all Ry Cooder's albums, the seperation of instruments and vocals, the clear sound, and the expansive soundstage are truly impressive. For the price of this vinyl at your local second-hand shop, you've got to bring this gem home with you.
I recently picked up a copy of this from the MOFI website... it's number 2000. I'm pretty confident this wasn't offered just a little while back. This is an amazing version and pressing of a groundbreaking album. I used to own this on CD, and what I'm hearing right now is like a totally different recording in terms of overall sound quality, clarity, musicality, depth, presence, and any other positive word I could think of. Snag this while and if you can... (it's still available as I type this...)...
This is a must-have for your collection. The dynamics are fantastic, and it offers superb soundstage depth.
Without a doubt, this is among the top-tier MoFi records in my collection: it's an AUDIO FEAST. The way the dynamics hit is out of this world, making it feel like Ry Cooder and his eclectic band are performing live in your very own living room. MoFi has truly outdone themselves with this one—grab a copy ASAP! UPDATE: MoFi just verified that this (and every other Ry Cooder title) is indeed all-analog.
