Hildur Guðnadóttir's incredible soundtrack is the perfect companion to one of the greatest TV miniseries ever made. If you haven't experienced this stunning work yet, don't wait another minute. I mean it! The term MASTERPIECE is an understatement here. The chilling, sometimes even disturbing, sounds of this album brilliantly encapsulate the bleak mood of the Soviet era in the 1980s, marked by political oppression, economic struggles (like constant shortages), social monotony, limited personal freedoms, and the subjugation of individuals to the Communist Party and state-run entities like VEBs or collectives. It's not an easy listen, but it's absolutely worth it. By the way, I was hesitant about purchasing the "Glow In The Dark" vinyl edition (👉 and what a fitting color choice, given the HBO series' theme—a nuclear disaster!). But the top-notch pressing is impeccable and superb. Only 700 copies exist! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 😊👍👍.

Dead quiet and flat as a board. Honestly, I can't pick up any distortion or background noise. The fact that it's hand numbered was a pleasant shock. Can't think of a better vinyl to use for GITD with this soundtrack. The vibe of this score will absolutely destroy your soul.
