  • Uriah Heep's Quiet Triumph

    5 out of 5 stars
    fmifqvou5324 December 2025United States🇺🇸

Uriah Heep has always held a special place in my heart, so it was a tough time when Lee Kerslake, David Byron, and Ken Hensley left us. Despite not being with the band for a while, their music from the 2000s onwards has been consistently captivating, and this album is no exception. It's a bit on the quieter side but not overproduced, so just turn up the volume, sit back, and enjoy.

  • Gentle Sounds, Some Flaws

    4 out of 5 stars
    lehgesoh25 June 2025United States🇺🇸

Album is fantastic. I was genuinely amazed at how enjoyable it is to listen to. The vinyl record isn't bad either. The sound quality is quite gentle, easy on the ears, and not overcompressed at all. There are some rare clicks and pops, even after a thorough ultrasonic clean, so it seems there might be some production or manufacturing flaws. Also, there's no antistatic liner included, so it's likely the record will get scuffed with that paper sleeve, which is disappointing. Mine have some scuffs, not terrible but still noticeable. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the cause of the sound imperfections, actually.

  • Vinyl Crackle Issue

    5 out of 5 stars
    Purxu6420 May 2025United States🇺🇸

Has anyone out there got this particular version? My copy is in fantastic condition, brand new and still sealed, but on both sides, right at the end (in the innermost grooves, to be exact), there are persistent crackles and pops. I've given it an ultrasonic clean, but that didn't fix the problem. I've inspected it closely, but I can't see any obvious pressing defects, scratches, or marks. Is this just an issue with my copy, or is it a mastering or pressing fault? Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated.

  • Uriah Heep's Flawed Vinyl

    4 out of 5 stars
    Gihgoiah_Simuxj10 April 2024United States🇺🇸

Uriah Heep's album artwork has never been their strong suit. (Perhaps the Dean-covers were passable). However, this must be their most hideous album cover to date. It's an eyesore, and I can't picture anyone unfamiliar with the band being drawn to it. The music, though, is exactly what you'd anticipate: exaggerated, over-polished kitsch-hardrock. I appreciate it for what it is, as I'm a fan of the band. That said, it's all been done countless times before, and there's no innovation here. The band sounds cohesive, energetic, and the tracks are performed with plenty of swagger and power. Heep are a hardrock band through and through, and they wear that badge with pride. They stick to their guns and excel at it. The vinyl itself arrived damaged. The inner sleeve has scratched the record with hundreds of tiny hairline marks. They should've and could've packaged it better. A disappointment from Silverline Records in Sweden.
