  • Wall-Worthy Mood Album

Great album! I've got it hanging on my wall at home. It really sets a nice mood.

  • Essential Reggae Album

    4 out of 5 stars
    naohgaap20 October 2025United States🇺🇸

In my view, this album is an essential addition to any respectable music collection. It marks the beginning of mainstream reggae and the rise of one of the greatest songwriters and most influential musicians ever. Plus, the record sleeve is incredibly cool (though most are pretty beat up these days). Considering how significant this album is, I'm amazed you can still find it at fairly decent prices. I'd snag one while you still can!

  • Catch A Fire Stunning Reissue

    5 out of 5 stars
    Kazcxmigw2 October 2025United States🇺🇸

The 50th Anniversary Edition of Catch A Fire is truly stunning. Up until now, I've only had the chance to listen to LP2 (the live performance at the Paris Theatre in London), and it's absolutely mind-blowing. Even at lower volumes, I picked up on instruments and details I'd never caught on the CD. The warmth and clarity of this pressing really bring The Wailers' music to life. This reissue is flawless, and the deluxe 24-page booklet is fantastic, filled with great photos and well-written texts. Just a small note: the LPs come in simple cardboard sleeves without anti-static inners, so I added my own, which I'd definitely recommend. There's no mention on the box about these being 180g pressings, but they certainly look and feel like it (though I haven't weighed them myself). For around €80, this set is a steal, and I'm sure it will appreciate over time. I haven't had a chance to listen to the other LPs yet, so I can't comment on those. Don't miss out on this one while it's still reasonably priced; it won't stay that way for long...
