This might just be the finest sounding album I own at the moment. Much of that is due to the original recording, of course. But the vinyl is spotless and silent, making it feel like the band is performing right there with you.
The sound quality of this album is absolutely flawless. It's simply amazing. Kudos to everyone involved! Don't miss out, get your copy today. You'll be thrilled with it!
Heads up folks... this 2017 BG Repressing has some problems. Sure, it's a "reissue" with a bonus disc, but apart from that, it's identical to the 2011 BG remaster. I'm not sure where B&N had this pressed, but there's a lot of surface noise here. It's a real shame because the album is so spacious and quiet. Most tracks feature just a few instruments, so the surface noise is incredibly noticeable and loud on both sides. You'll want to send it back as soon as you play it. I tried cleaning it various ways, but it's definitely a pressing issue. It's a real pity because the original 2011 BG remaster is stunning. How could they do this to Bernie's work? Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this 2017 version at all costs.
The pressing on side b is quite loud. Maybe CDs are the way to go these days.
The Barnes & Noble site describes this as blue vinyl, but the hype stickers don't mention that. Has anyone actually received a blue one? The one I got appears to be the 2011 black repress, complete with the new 7
