  • Bread's Underrated Debut

    5 out of 5 stars
    wbulgoquo82159519 September 2025United States🇺🇸

I picked up this first pressing of Oz, unplayed, from a vintage record shop a few years ago. If you're looking for a prime example of what sets Bread apart from just being a band that sings sweet love songs and ballads, this album is where you should begin. The songwriting, musicianship, and production are top-notch throughout. It even features one of the earliest uses of a Moog on a major label release. Truly a record that doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

About Bread

Bread, the iconic soft rock band, has been serving up melodic tunes since the late 1960s, much like their namesake, the comforting staple food. With their signature harmonies and heartfelt lyrics, Bread crafts songs that are as warm and inviting as a freshly baked loaf. Known for their timeless hits like "Make It with You" and "If," the band's music is a perfect blend of simplicity and sophistication, much like the basic yet versatile ingredient of flour in their namesake. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to their music, Bread's songs are sure to satisfy your craving for feel-good melodies.
