This album was a bit of a letdown for me, as it lacks any truly inspired moments. It's packed with fast-paced, echoey synthesizers, percussion, and electric guitar, making it feel more like a pop-rock album than jazz. There aren't any standout melodies or lyrics to remember. The drumming is decent on a few tracks, though. It's got that 80s "bubblegum music" vibe, with uninspired beats. I'd suggest skipping it at full price, but if you find it used for a couple bucks...maybe give it a shot.
Doesn't quite match my taste, but maybe others into the early 80s vibe will enjoy it.
Doesn't suit my taste but might be up another person's alley who's into early 80s tunes
This album was a bit of a letdown for me, as there's not much that feels truly inspired. It's chock full of that fast-paced, echoey synth, percussion, and electric guitar sound you'd expect from the time, making it lean more towards pop-rock than jazz. The melodies and lyrics aren't particularly memorable or creative. The drumming does stand out on a few tracks, though. It's got that 80s "bubblegum music" vibe, with uninspired beats. I'd suggest giving it a miss unless you can snag it used for a buck or two.
Far from the artist's usual standard. Mostly rubbish, but I guess it's alright for its time.
