An amazing album, one of Diana's most well-put-together works. It was a hit with critics but didn't do so well commercially. The SHMCD version is absolutely brilliant.
To me, this stands as Diana Ross's finest album from the 70s. Shockingly ignored upon its release, it's her most well-rounded work up to that point. With Richard Perry at the helm, Diana's vocals are absolutely stunning. The tracklist is just perfect, and her clear, crisp, almost delicate voice has never shined brighter. They even had plans for a second collab album, but that got scrapped 'cause this one didn't get the love it deserved. Perry ended up working with the Pointer Sisters after that...
