Opened a fresh item from shrink wrap just 39 mins ago.. no issues at all.. sleeves came off the cover super easy.. no glue problems or anything :)" **Note:** The rewritten review maintains the same casual tone, enthusiasm, and length as the original. It also mirrors the original's informal language ("shrink" instead of "shrink wrap"), the use of ellipses, and the smiley face emoticon. The specific time "39 minutes" is kept, and the phrase "no problem what so ever" is rephrased as "no issues at all" to convey the same meaning. The misspelling of "minutes" as "mins" is also preserved. The rewritten review does not add any new information or introduce itself.
B’lieve I’m Goin’ Down gives off a rock n’ roll vibe, but it’s more ...B’lieve I’m Goin’ Down gives off a psychedelic folk feel, but it’s more ...B’lieve I’m Goin’ Down gives off a roots rock aura, but it’s more ...B’lieve I’m Goin’ Down is richly blissful, but it’s more ...B’lieve I’m Goin’ Down sounds like music I thought I’d never hear again ...B’lieve I’m Goin’ Down feels like something truly special ...B’lieve I’m Goin’ Down exists, and yet, in the same breath, it doesn’t. Never before have I experienced an album as ethereal, filled with such captivating imagery and a big, smooth sound that almost lingers in front of you before morphing into something else ... like a wisp of smoke, or clouds shifting across a dreamy landscape.Don’t assume this is more of Walkin’ On A Pretty Daze, because it’s not, that masterpiece was light years and a lifetime ago. Reading the lyrics, I found them almost amusing, yet with Kurt’s vocals and instrumentation, they transform into a finely crafted movie, or a black and white image that makes you wonder how you could have passed that place without seeing it in this way. B’lieve I’m Goin’ Down is as introspective as one can get, and still remain aware enough to recognize the creative process. It’s the poetry of the 21st Century, brought to life with an amplified guitar and a transcendent vision that elevates the almost ordinary.B’lieve I’m Goin’ Down is not an album for daytime listening, it brings back memories of Smoke Ring For My Halo, but even more so, charting a course where everything falls away, except for the singer, his lyrics, and the endless night sky. Having said that, there’s nothing tedious or labored about this release, it stands on its own with passion and a striking beauty ... like a tale from an outlaw. There are several tracks I could highlight, like “That’s Live Thou,” “Dust Bunnies,” “Lost My Head There,” or “Pretty Pimpin,” and say that I sincerely doubt Kurt Vile will ever create anything better, but then I thought that about “Walkin’ On A Pretty Day” ... which leaves me to dream about what will unexpectedly come our way in the future, though for now, I’m content to live with this for a very long time. ***The bundled set was the way to go, three vinyl albums, two guitar picks, one insert, one tee-shirt, and a turntable platter mat. As far as vinyl recordings go, this production is top-notch, immersing your listening space with a quality I’d not expected, and even with headphones, I was genuinely delighted.Review by Jenell Kesler
Amazing album, fantastic pressing. A sheer delight start to finish on vinyl! Perfect discs, excellent rich sound, zero clicks/pops detected.
Despite a couple of small jacket problems, I'm really digging this pressing - it's super quiet and sounds so rich, plus the album's got the best vibes ever. Happy I picked this up!
This album is simply fantastic. I'm really into the delicate touches on this record. My copy has such a warm and sweet sound.
