It's a pity the pressing quality is lacking. GZ can't be trusted. While the mastering is excellent, each track's intro is marred by unwanted noise. Quite disheartening. I even attempted cleaning, but it made no difference.
The audio is alright, neither fantastic nor terrible. But, the disc I received is quite warped.
Side 3's I Am The Highway got rabbit tracks noise at the start. What a shame, as it's the best track alongside Like A Stone. Grabbed another US 2017 copy, same issue. Has anyone else noticed this? Apart from that, it sounds alright. Curious if the Europe version or 2019 reissue is any better.
This album sounds incredible, with mastering that showcases a wide dynamic range, featuring deep lows and crisp highs. It's an ideal record for this kind of quality, as the bass and vocals really pack a punch and sound enormous.
Save your cash and skip the poor reprint of this album, this is the pressing you've been searching for: quiet, amazing, flawlessly balanced. Have fun!!Rate 8.5/10
