Perfect Peace is an utterly incredible song. It's not often that you come across music in this genre that's so touching, so full of feeling, but this track genuinely comes from the heart. The sadness in it is only outdone by Carlton's outstanding acoustic guitar playing. I'd definitely recommend it.
This album is truly one of my all-time favorites and top picks. The music is fantastic, and the recording quality is incredibly detailed. I've been enjoying it since 1987, and through countless upgrades in my setup, this LP always reveals more detail, even today. It's astonishing. I believe it's one of Bernie Grundman’s best mastering jobs. I'm using an Acoustical Systems cartridge and arm on a Micro Seiki SX-5000/RY-5500II//HS-80 turntable to play it.
Absolutely sharp and distinct. Lovely vibrant acoustic guitars and keyboards. Not Carlton's usual bass-heavy stuff. Perfect for a laid-back Sunday morning as the sun shines through the windows.
