This here is an original Italian pressin'. It ain't no reissue, contrary to what's been said.
The audio quality is absolutely fantastic, the packaging is out of this world, and this 50th anniversary edition of this iconic album is a total triumph!

Does this inner sleeve fit the first pressing? It's a bit strange that it's already promoting Kiss 'Alive!' on the inside if the album just came out.
I'm gonna say pretty much the same thing about both the Dress To Kill and Alive! box sets. They're packed with cool extras if you're into pics, posters, and all that jazz. The vinyl quality is top-notch. Just like these days, the reissue sounds a bit more bass-heavy and deeper than the original. Honestly, that bugs me. I get that some parts of the reissue aren't spot-on with the original Alive release, but I didn't go through every bit to pick out the differences, even though I've seen others chatting about it online. Lucky for me, I've got a first-year pressing, so I'm good with the original and don't really need the reissue. What I was really after were the earlier live albums. They're also a bit more bass-filled, but the concerts are fantastic. Eddie Kramer, Kevin Grey, and the team did an amazing job, and as a KISS fan, especially an Alive! fan, it's like striking vinyl gold to get these concerts after 50 years in such a great format. I wish all the concerts recorded for Alive! were in one box set instead of split between DTK and Alive! but Pop House and Universal knew that by dividing them up, they could charge $400 for each box set. And let's be real, what would've been left in the DTK box set?
