  This mixtape is pretty much flawless, except for the vocals on the singles. They make "Action Adventure" seem outdated. You'd expect the Rick Rubin Def Jam-style beats to save it, but they actually fit well with the synths that remind me of the "Terrifier II" soundtrack. The name, the artwork, and those synths all scream nostalgia, but the vocals on this album sound more like they belong on an 80s pop radio station than in an underground hip-hop club. I would've loved the movies, the hip-hop scene, and the synth scene back then, but I could've done without the pop scene - just like this record could've done without those vocals.

  Initially, I opted for a digital download since I wasn't as fond of his previous album. "The Mountain Will Fall" resonated with me more. I'm aware some fans might have preferred an "Introducing Part 2," but I appreciate artists who evolve and don't repeat themselves, much like Amon Tobin. At first listen, I was underwhelmed, but with each session, it grew on me. Now, I adore it so much that I purchased the vinyl, which, of course, sounds superior. There's an 80s vibe to it, and the music occasionally reminds me of Kraftwerk. It's more electro than genuine hip-hop, with standout tracks and no filler, unlike his last release. This album is meant to be played loud! I've seen Josh live twice, and it was incredible. I'm eagerly anticipating his next show in Berlin. By the way, he's such a pleasant guy! This isn't a groundbreaking masterpiece like "Introducing," but even the Beatles only made one "Sgt. Pepper's." It's a fantastic electronic album in its own right, perfect for late-night drives or listening on quality headphones. Be open to Josh's new musical directions; it's worth giving it a chance, and it'll definitely grow on you!

  You can still grab this on Massappeal for around 40€. I'm puzzled why anyone would spend over 100€... Just watch out for those scalper "guild" guys, though...

  Totally on board with the previous review, the color is stunning, the records are smooth and flat, and the sleeves are top-notch. The sound quality is fantastic too, well-balanced with a great bass.
