Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
This isn't a terrible reissue by any means, but like most Friday Music vinyl releases, it's not worth the added cost. If you can snag an original US pressing in decent shape, you're good to go. And why the gatefold and that ugly tweak to the original Atlantic label? Also, it's pressed at the now-closed Rainbo, definitely not RTI. As for the album, it's an absolute classic.
This is a "hidden" treasure. The PR pressing is fantastic. If you find a clean copy, snag it.
I must say, this album really caught me off guard with its fantastic sound quality. It ticks all the right boxes. The imaging is top-notch—you can easily pinpoint where the harmonies and overtones are coming from. It might just be their finest work yet. Tracks like Private Eyes and Big Bam Boom are solid, but they don’t leave the same lasting sonic impact as this album does.
Hey there, anyone got a high-res pic of their OBI they'd be cool to share? Mine didn't come with one, and I'm really wanting a copy. Cheers!
This is my top pick mofi. Absolutely fantastic, one of the best sounding ones I've come across.
