Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
I got my hands on a sealed copy of this, would you believe it? It was wrapped in some sort of baggy seal, and the record was just loose inside. Plus, it was only "half sealed" in those old round poly sleeves. I opened it up... and wow. The record was in amazing condition, hardly any marks at all. After a good clean, it sounded almost perfect from start to finish. Of course, it's a fantastic album, you can't go wrong with Caterina Valente. Should I have sold it? Perhaps! But if it was Buddy Holly's "That'll Be The Day" 1958 Decca LP... well, that's a different story!
I opened a sealed copy of this believe it or not. It was sealed in a baggy type seal. It was loose inside. And the record was "half sealed" in those old circular poly sleeves. I opened it up... and man. The record was pristine, barely a blemish. With a deep clean, record sounded near perfect start to finish. Fantastic album obviously, you can't go wrong with Caterina Valente. Should I have sold it? Maybe! But if it was Buddy Holly's That'll be The Day 1958 Decca LP... that's another story!
I cracked open a factory-sealed copy of this, would you believe it? It was wrapped in some sort of baggy seal. The record was loose inside, and it was "half-sealed" in those old round poly sleeves. I took it out... and wow. The record was in mint condition, hardly any flaws. After a good clean, it played near flawless from start to finish. Of course, it's a fantastic album, you can't go wrong with Caterina Valente. Should I have put it up for sale? Perhaps! But if it was Buddy Holly's "That'll Be The Day" 1958 Decca LP... well, that's a different story!
