Incredible! I reckon this is what they'd refer to as a 'sizzling performance!' The vinyl comeback has brought about some outstanding releases where producers dig into the old archives. Hard to fathom that this phenomenal performance wasn't released earlier! It's a perfect fit for RSD: newly unearthed music, well-captured, solid mastering, and a fantastic pressing. Oh, and the translucent blue vinyl is absolutely stunning! Don't miss out on this one!
Amazing show, Oscar shines with creativity! There's a bunch of Ellington tunes that go on for 19 minutes with long solo sections of incredible creativity. This is one of the top piano jazz albums out there. The music deserves 5 *, but the release and sound quality are more like 4 *.
The sound quality is fantastic, however there's some background noise that affects the softer sections. If the vinyl had less noise, it would be perfect.
