Consistent with this band's track record, it's a top-notch pressing with an excellent mix. The cover has this awesome vintage vibe -- reminiscent of something you'd find on local or regional releases, tough to describe without actually holding it. Musically, what more can you ask for? It's LCD Soundsystem being LCD Soundsystem... truthfully, you can't go wrong with this band.
I haven't bought a DFA pressing yet that didn't have too much surface noise. This one's no exception, but I'll admit it's a fair bit less than what was on the American Dream version. Both of my discs also arrived quite bent. But the mix/mastering is spot on. As for the music, this is a peculiar release. It's a live album, but all recorded in the studio. They sound fantastic, though, and you do get a few covers. I wouldn't necessarily call this a must-have LCD Soundsystem release, but it's certainly a good one to own.
I picked up the 2 x 180g Europe vinyl edition and it's absolutely fantastic. It's been ages since I've played a new release that's as quiet as this one - no hissing, no crackles, just pure silence. The vinyl feels incredibly smooth and the sound balance across both discs is spot on, thanks to an impeccable mix.
Awesome wax here! I haven't grabbed the London Sessions or the box set yet. Fantastic artist, been a fan from day one. Sounds incredible. Some artists have top-notch vinyl, while others have just plain garbage.
This vinyl release is absolutely flawless! Each disc is perfectly flat, spotless, and centered just right. The poly lined sleeves they're housed in are a nice touch too. The mastering is top-notch, a must-have for any collection.
