• Audiophile Disappointment

  Definitely not "audiophile" quality, just heavyweight vinyl (folks should stop calling 180g audiophile, that's complete nonsense): the record itself has a ton of hissing, quite a bit of surface noise and A LOT of static. Even after running it through my cleaning machine. Definitely not what I'd anticipate from something called audiophile. Alright, the mastering isn't terrible, bass is strong etc, but all the highs have hissing, like my needle was dirty. Since it's so quiet, it also amplifies the surface noise. EDIT: Kendrick's site sent me a replacement. Better than the first, but still not deserving of an "audiophile" tag, still some hissing and some scratches.

  The buttons are responsive and hushed, the record's in shockingly solid shape for a Target copy. The grey shade (140g) is kinda dull - silver would've been awesome - but it's got a sweet sound. Definitely worth a shot.

  La pochette est sympa. Par contre, la qualité sonore du disque n'est pas exceptionnelle, c'est "correct" mais pas impeccable. Pour un artiste de ce niveau, on s'attendrait à une qualité sonore parfaite.

  Just cracked open my pair, they're awesome. Definitely grab a sub to go with 'em. There's a bit of static now and then, but who cares when you're busting a move to these tunes all night long?
