  This album's mastering is fantastic. I'd never listened to it before; I've been a casual Jobim admirer for ages (who hasn't?). There's a certain similarity throughout these tracks, but each song has its own catch, and they're all brilliant. Every standout moment is included. I'm particularly fond of this rendition of Chega de Saudade, it's simply a gorgeous version.

  This is the definitive compilation of Jobim's Bossa Nova classics, beautifully rendered by the maestro himself. The arrangements feature a generous helping of strings. Most of the melodies are played by Jobim on piano. The solos are brief and the overall feel is breezy and light. If you simply want to appreciate these gorgeous tunes without any excessive complexity or fuss, this is absolutely ideal. As for the pressing, I've never laid eyes on a more stunning piece of vinyl. The record was flawless right out of the gate. The vinyl is utterly silent and sounds phenomenal. Highly recommended.

  Mine sounds absolutely fantastic. It's well-balanced, with a spacious soundstage, great separation, and it's quiet, clean, and flat. I've had a blast listening to it...Mike over at 'The In Groove' mentioned that whenever he'd demo this one at the shop, it'd sell right away.
