Twenty One Pilots still owns rights to this debut album, but when signing onto the fueled by ramen label, the label got rights to regional at best and decided to discontinue it and remake it into what became vessel. I do not see fueled by ramen funding a re release of this at all, my recommendation is to buy this on apple music and make a CDr, it sounds pretty good to my ears.
As someone who came on discovered this band during the “Vessel” era, I have to admit that this is probably my favourite album by Twenty One Pilots.There is something about this album – the simplicity? The rawness? The poetic lyrics? The innocence? One may say that this is their most obvious “Christian” album – but it goes way beyond such narrow-mindedness. The fact that these songs mix Christianity and issues of mental health perfectly, speaks a lot to how great this album is.Right from the very start, this band was predominantly a piano/drum band – weird combo I know, but it works. Luckily, the inclusion of other instruments makes it more interesting. Musically speaking, this album was the foundation of what they would become.If I had to choose a favourite, it would be either “Addict With A Pen” or “Trapdoor”, but there are many other songs on here that are great.This album is truly something special.(I know the vinyl is unofficial – but until that day when it is officially made, I will hold on to this…)
Worst vinyl quality! Can’t even play that record! I would destroy my pickup because all of the failures in that pressing!
Can’t lie I wasn’t expecting much but I was still pretty disappointed by the sound on the copy I got. Also the music plays faster than the original recordings, and the outer edges of the records were cut really poorly.
its obviously not the best, because its a bootleg but its not unlistenable some songs are good and sound very decent but some songs just are broken and not stable
