  I must admit, even though I'm a huge BH fan, this album didn't click with me at first. I'd given it a couple of listens, but it always felt a bit jumbled and out of sync with me... until earlier this year when I caught Bruce & The Noisemakers live. They kicked off the show with Preacher In The Ring Parts 1 AND 2, mixing in Funhouse, and Shadow Hand. Bruce mentioned the 25th anniversary project, and I figured I should give this album another shot. I'm thrilled I did. This time around, Spirit Trail resonates with me perfectly. Now that I'm in my 40s and have experienced more of life, I can finally say I understand it, and I truly need it. This album is phenomenal, and this edition is even more extraordinary. The pressing is superb, the sound quality is excellent, it's dead quiet max, and the packaging is great. Four new songs that had been sitting on his shelf - just like a CD of Spirit Trail sat on mine - for 25 years. It's breathtaking, and I'm so grateful this entire set made it into the world.
