Roger Edens, born in Hillsboro, Texas in 1905, was a towering figure in the golden age of Hollywood musicals. As a composer, arranger, and associate producer, Edens was instrumental in shaping the iconic sound of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's musical films, working closely with producer Arthur Freed.
