Daniel Veis

Daniel Veis is a distinguished Czech cellist renowned for his exceptional talent and international acclaim. Since clinching the Silver Medal at the prestigious 1978 Tchaikovsky International Competition, Veis has been celebrated as one of the finest cellists to emerge from the Czech Republic. His extensive career includes a long-standing collaboration with pianist Martino Tirimo, with whom he has toured globally and recorded numerous works, including the captivating Mendelssohn Sonatas for Cello and Piano. Veis is also a founding member of the Rosamunde Trio, performing alongside Tirimo and violinist Ben Sayevich since 2002. Their performances are noted for a remarkable sense of unity and musical cohesion, making them a standout ensemble in the chamber music scene.
