Bruno Weinmeister

Bruno Weinmeister is a celebrated Austrian cellist and conductor, renowned for his exceptional musical prowess and dedication to the classical genre. Born in Salzburg in 1972, he was nurtured in a music-loving family, which sparked his early passion for the cello and piano. Weinmeister honed his skills under the tutelage of esteemed mentors like Heinrich Schiff and Wolfgang Boettcher, eventually becoming a distinguished solo cellist at the opera houses of Dresden and Zürich. Beyond his solo career, he has made significant contributions as a conductor, notably as an assistant to the legendary Claudio Abbado with the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic. Since 2017, Weinmeister has also been a professor of cello at a prestigious music university, sharing his expertise with the next generation of musicians.
