Atli Ingólfsson

Atli Ingólfsson, born in 1962 in Njarðvík, Iceland, is a versatile composer whose works span solo, orchestral, and music theatre genres. With a background in guitar, composition, and philosophy, Ingólfsson's music is deeply influenced by prosody, rhythm, and metrics, as seen in pieces like "A verso" and "La métrique du cri." His compositions have been performed at prestigious festivals across Europe and beyond. Ingólfsson's artistic journey has taken him through extensive residencies in Italy, France, Germany, and Sweden before settling in Iceland, where he now serves as a professor of composition at the Iceland University of the Arts. Beyond music, he has also explored literature, publishing a book of poetry.
