Considering the source (needle drop), I'd say this pressing sounds pretty decent. But I have a feeling the original recording wasn't top-notch, and the audio quality shifts throughout the album. Particularly towards the end, it doesn't sound as crisp as it does at the start. Still, I'm really pleased with this release and would definitely recommend it.
Fantastic album, jam-packed with Free Jazz talent. Definitely worth a listen (no favoritism here, I'm not pushing it).
This album has a really captivating quality to it. It's some fantastic European Free jazz that even those with a more timid taste in music can enjoy. It's a rip from Wilens original pressing. With only 1,000 copies made and considering that different pressings are scarce and 1966 originals are super pricey and tough to come by, this might be your shot at owning one. The sound quality is quite good. The cover art is amazing!
