About Carl Maria von Weber

Carl Maria von Weber, born on November 18 or 19, 1786, in Eutin, was a pioneering figure in the Romantic era, renowned for his contributions as a composer, conductor, and pianist. Weber's innovative approach to opera and his distinctive compositions have left an indelible mark on classical music. His reform-oriented directorship and theoretical insights aimed to elevate the operatic experience, making him one of the most influential composers of his time. Weber's legacy is deeply intertwined with the city of Dresden, where he spent a significant portion of his career. Despite his untimely death in London on June 5, 1826, his musical genius continues to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide.
