Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
There's a touch of crackling surface noise, but fortunately, it's mostly during the gaps between tracks. As mentioned, the sleeve quality is pretty poor, but the sound quality of the record is fairly good overall. My copy came with a scuff on "sooner or later" — but it seems rollinrecs doesn’t take returns on EU bootlegs, even if they're damaged, so… proceed with caution. Maybe grab an unsealed copy to play it safe. Edit: Side B has more surface noise than A for me. I do have official presses that sound worse than this, but that doesn’t mean I’d recommend spending more than I did on this ($35), since it ain’t worth all that much. Nostalgic as hell for me though. Solid 4/5.
I gotta say, I'm on the same page as the other reviews. It's definitely a bootleg, and the back of the jacket is...well, it's a bit odd. But hey, the record itself sounds fantastic! No hissing, and it's got a great dynamic, punchy sound for a bootleg. Honestly, some of my official pressings don't even sound this good. If you're a fan of this album, I'd say go for it. Here's hoping they press Phobia next!
