This album was quite disappointing, Joel's effort to recreate his signature sound just didn't work out. Some tracks with 8-bit sounds or dubstep elements feel really out of place. "4Ware" is decent, Joel's always been good at starting his albums. But unlike before, the rest of this album is pretty forgettable. "Cat Thruster", "Deus Ex Machina", and "Glish" don't flow well together and mess up the continuous mix style that Joel's been great at for years. "Let Go" is one of the highlights. Awesome vocals and an amazing progressive track (something Joel excels at). "Snowcome" is way overrated and I honestly don't get the hype, it's a very, very boring track. "Three Pound Chicken Wing" and "Whelk Then" bring it back to greatness with "Whelk Then" being an excellent track. Joel uses ambient sounds and piano melodies really well. That's about it. I'd only recommend this if you're a huge deadmau5 fan, otherwise go for Random Album Title, it's way more polished with excellent sounds that blend together.
Wow, this production is top-notch! 2448 has a sound that's way better on vinyl than digital. The pressing is fantastic, and the audio quality is just incredible.
Looking forward to trying this out once I've done some upkeep on my turntable. A bit concerned about the sound quality of side D, it's quite full. Would've been nice if they'd shifted a song from D to C.
Wow, this production is incredible! 2448 sounds so much better on vinyl than digital. The pressing is top-notch and the sound is absolutely amazing.
