Does anyone else think Anamanaguchi has strayed from their path? I truly loved their earlier stuff that was more focused on chiptune.
You can still grab these at the regular price over at polyvinylrecords.com/product/usa. Just a heads up, my copy had a few skips on Side A and quite a bit on Side D. But hey, the rest of it sounds just right!
Man, the crazy static that others have mentioned is totally real. I've honestly never gotten a record with this much static and grime on the packaging. The album's packaging is nice to look at, but it doesn't seem very sturdy. The mastering quality is awesome though; the 45 RPM speed really works well.
a few ticks and pops but man, this record sounds amazing, zero surface noise and solid mastering.
I picked up this copy at one of their USA Expos, which was absolutely incredible, by the way. But here's the kicker, it came with a nasty surprise - a massive static charge. I opened it up, and holy crap, it was filthy! Tons of dust and other junk stuck all over the records, on both sides. And remember, it was supposed to be sealed! No idea if it's how they stored it or the packaging, but it was a real pain since I paid $40 for it. And yeah, that's almost double what it costs online.
