The wax on this release is dead quiet. Beautiful warm tone throughout the entire double album!
I was lucky to get a flawless version, both LPs were perfectly flat and clean, silent vinlys, no scuffs or scratches at all! The sleeve and envelopes are of high quality with beautiful photos and clear text. Concerning the mastering, I didn’t listen to the original pressing but this one is a very good one, the music just flows, the orchestra sounds big with great dynamics. both of the records plays good but im gonna give 2 stars on this release since my copy came with 2 warped disks and scratches all aroundinner sleeves are cheap cardboard made so i m gonna ask to craft recordings why in this world you used these crappy sleeves??
beats the pants off the reissue ( which the reissue isn't horrible but there is no comparison with this one), so warm and smooth I recently paid 12 bucks for this in a used record store on a recent trip to Norway- pure gold; what a treasure
This is a great record and great example of how remastering and repressing should be done. The sound is audiophile quality as well as the pressing but without the hype and the price. Most other anniversary editions do not have the sound quality except for the expensive audiophile labels. Many repressing actually have worse quality audio. You will enjoy every minute of this fantastic music and the quality of this recording.
