Product description

Sum 41's "Underclass Hero" is a high-energy, punk-infused album that marks a significant chapter in the band's discography. Released in 2007, this album is the first to feature Sum 41 without guitarist Dave "Brownsound" Baksh, who had left the band a year prior. Despite the lineup change, the album maintains the band's signature pop-punk sound, blending catchy melodies with aggressive rhythms.

The album kicks off with the title track, "Underclass Hero," a song that delves into societal themes and an "us against them" mentality, showcasing the band's knack for writing anthemic, thought-provoking tunes. Other standout tracks include "Walking Disaster," "Speak of the Devil," and "With Me," each offering a unique blend of punk rock energy and melodic hooks.

"Underclass Hero" is a testament to Sum 41's ability to evolve while staying true to their roots. With 14 tracks clocking in at just under 50 minutes, the album is a fast-paced journey through the band's signature sound, making it a great addition to any punk rock fan's collection. The album was released by Island Records and is a great representation of Sum 41's style and energy.

This 2025 Reissue LP is pressed on Black vinyl.

  • Color Discrepancy, Great Sound

    5 out of 5 stars
    ZwegrocamqmuakJanuary 23, 2025United States🇺🇸

The vinyl record itself sounds fantastic, and the packaging is truly excellent. But, I know that the mock-ups can be a bit subjective, my copy ended up being more of a pinkish purple with black swirls. It's not see-through or glowing at all, lol. I'm not too bothered by it, but I figured I'd mention it.

  • Disappointing Cash Grab

    1 out of 5 stars
    xipaleqxogAugust 20, 2024United States🇺🇸

It's like someone took a low-quality 64 kb mp3, played it through an old cellphone speaker, recorded it with a Talkboy, and then put it on vinyl. This is just a cash grab. I'm sticking with the SRC version and throwing this one away, especially at $60.

  • Sum 41's Stunning Masterpiece

    5 out of 5 stars
    yeyelubyucJuly 7, 2024United States🇺🇸

The vinyl's color and design are absolutely stunning, and each track on this record is an outright smash hit. This album might just be their masterpiece, with a more refined sound that captures that classic Blink-182 pop-punk vibe. In my opinion, Sum 41 doesn't receive the recognition they deserve, but they're definitely right up there with Blink as the top two bands in their genre. The album sounds fantastic, plays smoothly with no background noise. It's not an audiophile pressing, but it's definitely on the higher end of quality, just a step below that level. 👌

  • Same Vinyl, Different Sticker

    5 out of 5 stars
    RejuinNsurmadJanuary 25, 2024United States🇺🇸

honestly, this version is exactly the same as the purple vinyl one — they just swapped the 'pink' sticker for 'purple' to match the shade better.

  • Purple Vinyl Impressive

    5 out of 5 stars
    ZuyoeqBzommelJanuary 25, 2024United States🇺🇸

so, this one's pretty much the same as the pink vinyl version — they just swapped the 'pink' hype sticker for a 'purple' one to match the color better. but man, this record looks insane in real life. i'll chime in on the sound quality later. EDIT: after giving it some time, it sounds pretty darn good — really impressive, honestly. snag this one while you can! 5/5
