Dillon strikes gold once more with another highly enjoyable album, further solidifying his remarkable body of work. Collaborating again with Diamond D (who produced every single track), Dillon's lyrical themes and flow blend seamlessly with Diamond's beats. It's evident that there's a genuine connection between D&D; this isn't just a beat tape with half-hearted vocals, but a meticulously crafted album that leaves you craving more. True to form, Dillon offers a diverse range of song topics, including another narrative piece; "Devil in a Blue Dress," which seems like a fitting follow-up to "Femme Fatale" from their previous collaboration. The final track; "Permanent Scars," is a particularly moving piece about losing loved ones, capable of touching even the toughest of hearts. This one's definitely making it to my mental end-of-year list.
