Product description

Ryan Bingham's "Tomorrowland" is a captivating journey through the heart of Americana, released on September 18, 2012, under Axster Bingham Records. This fourth studio album from the renowned singer-songwriter is a testament to his versatility, blending elements of red dirt, Texas country, alt-country, and Americana to create a rich and textured listening experience.

Recorded in the scenic landscapes of Malibu, "Tomorrowland" features 13 tracks that span a total of 62 minutes. The album opens with the gritty "Beg for Broken Legs," setting the tone for a collection that is as raw as it is refined. Standout tracks like "Western Shore" and "Heart of Rhythm" showcase Bingham's storytelling prowess, while "Flower Bomb" and "Guess Who's Knockin'" add a touch of rowdy energy. The album also includes introspective moments with songs like "Never Far Behind" and "The Road I'm On," highlighting Bingham's ability to explore both the highs and lows of life.

"Tomorrowland" is a powerful addition to Ryan Bingham's discography, offering a mix of folk rock, country rock, and rock & roll that will appeal to fans of heartfelt, authentic music. Whether you're a longtime admirer of Bingham's work or new to his sound, this album promises a rewarding listening experience.

This 2LP set was released in 2012.

  • Ryan's Evolutionary Road Trip

    4 out of 5 stars
    rvbionboupuDecember 23, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Ryan's been shedding a lot lately, and I, for one, am thrilled about it. First, he left his band behind, then his record label, and finally, he ditched that worn-out denim shirt, embracing a more intense, sonically driven sound. It's still country at its core, but it opens a door to a path he's never explored before, and I've got a strong feeling it's going to pay off tremendously. There will be those who try to convince you that this album lacks his signature heart-grabbing songs, but these people haven't kept up with Ryan Bingham's evolution. They haven't seen him perform in tiny, off-the-beaten-path venues or smoky roadhouses. They only know the big-stage Ryan Bingham, the one who filled a niche, representing everyone but himself. Just listen to "The Road I'm On" and tell me you don't hear a man content in his own skin, basking in the warm glow of a new beginning, cruising down an empty highway with the wind in his hair. Or savor "Never Ending Show," where he sings about stepping off that glittering stage, forging his own path under the moonlight. And it's not just the lyrics; "Never Ending" musically sweeps you off your feet, shattering the floorboards with new anthems, blasting reverb-filled chords from the rafters, and pounding at your door. Ryan's said more than once, "I want to make an album that's fun to play live," and he's certainly achieved that. That being said, I must admit, the album could've been even better with a bit of trimming. It could've been a classic if he'd kept it to just ten songs, instead of including a couple of lengthy, emotional, and political tracks that seem to lose their way or try to do too much at once. But hey, you can skip those tracks and still have a bona-fide classic in your hands.

Ryan's been shedding layers, and I, for one, am thrilled. First, he parted ways with his band, then his record label, and finally, he ditched that worn-out denim shirt, embracing a more intense, sonically charged album. It's still country at its core, but it opens a door to a path he's never explored before... and I've got a feeling it's going to pay off big time. There will be those who'll try to convince you that this album lacks his signature songs, tracks that tug at your heartstrings, but these people haven't evolved with Ryan Bingham. They've never seen him perform in small, dimly lit venues or smoky roadhouses off the beaten path. They only know the big-stage Ryan Bingham, the Kris Kristofferson Ryan Bingham, the Ryan Bingham who fit a mold, representing everyone but himself. Just listen to "The Road I'm On" and tell me you don't hear a man content in his own skin, basking in the warm glow of a new beginning, cruising down an empty two-lane highway with the wind in his hair. Or savor "Never Ending Show," where he sings about stepping off that glittering stage, forging his own path, and chasing his own dreams under the full moon. And it's not just the lyrics; "Never Ending" musically sweeps over you, shattering the floorboards with fresh anthems, blasting reverb-drenched chords from the rafters, and pounding at your door. Ryan's said more than once, "I want to make an album that's fun to play live" ... and he's done just that. That said, I'll admit, the man could've trimmed a bit here and there, 'cause this album could've been an outright classic if he'd kept it to a lean ten songs, instead of adding a couple of bloated eight-minute emotional and political beasts, tracks that seem to go nowhere or perhaps in too many directions at once. But hey, you can skip those, and still have that genuine classic.
