Another addition to Prestige's collection of post-dated releases, this one features tracks that were initially recorded quite some time ago. "Ahmad's Blues" hails from "Workin' With The Miles Davis Quintet," a 1956 release, while the remaining songs were captured in 1957 with his trio, including Paul Chambers (P.C.) and Art Taylor. As far as I've gathered, it first hit the shelves in 1970, following Paul Chamber's passing in '69. The audio quality is top-notch, as you'd anticipate from Red, and I'm particularly fond of "Lost April.
