Consider this album the final gift from the legendary trio: Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed, and Phife Dawg. And what a gift it is! "The Love Movement" is brimming with soul, funky grooves, and old-school breaks and samples. Plus, it's packed with Q-Tip and Phife's lyrical genius. This album is among my all-time favorites because it's bursting with positive vibes from the incredible trio. A true masterpiece! It's a shame they didn't get to record another classic like "The Love Movement".
Superior pressing and an underappreciated album by Tribe. Their subsequent works don't receive as much attention, but I appreciate them as much as their earlier releases, primarily because of the Dilla beats.
Don’t go into a veggie burger thinking it’s gonna taste like beef..this ain’t no Low End Theory or Marauders. It might take a minute but this album definitely grows on ya..and don’t let that Ummah production credit trick ya, there’s a solid amount of Dilla beats on this thing that still hit hard as hell
If you're a fan of this album, this is the reissue you've been waiting for. I'm currently enjoying it with a bit of coffee in the early morning darkness. I paused my work to share this. Over the moon with happiness.
