This album is fantastic. The queen of country delivers some truly excellent covers. Maybe a tad overproduced, but hey, it's the eighties. Overall, it's a great sounding album.

  • Dolly's 80s Pop Revival

Perfect for what it aims to be.!! Dolly's vocals are spot on. Some delicious bass work from Leland Sklar. Waddy joins in on a few tracks and The Jordanaires are also present. The only downside (if you'd even call it that) is the heavy use of synthesizers, they're all over this album like a bad rash... and at times I could swear it's Weinberg pounding on those synth drums. It's so mid-80s, and that sound really shows its age. No country here. Dolly takes on mostly popular 60s pop songs and if you're feeling it, this is a blast. My new 1984 vinyl sounds decent but very digital & sterile... like tap shoes on a marble floor. I guess it's a product of its time. The most important thing is here though: Great songs.!!

My new 1984 vinyl copy sounds decent but very digital & sterile... like high heels clicking on a tiled floor. I guess it's a product of its time. But the most important thing is here: Great songs!!
