Alright, so it's that infamous '4 Men with Beards' pressing, but the back notes it's made by Rhino Records, and I'm pretty happy with my version. It's nice and flat, perfectly centered, no annoying pops or crackles. The cardboard tip-on jacket has a good heft to it, the artwork colors look great, and the sound is just how I recall my original copy sounding way back when. That being said, Stax/Volt wasn't exactly known for top-notch fidelity anyway. The raw, unpolished vibe was kind of their thing. So, yeah... this one's pretty good.
Otis' best album ever sounds absolutely amazing on this record. The brass instruments really stand out and the bass hits hard! This vinyl is packed with detail. Otis' voice is just incredible.
The packaging might not impress you at first, it's quite basic and thin, but the inner sleeve is a nice touch. However, the record is an absolute game-changer! It's heavyweight vinyl with cool retro fonts and an incredible sound. The music just jumps out at you, it's so vibrant and full of life. It's definitely top-tier quality. Truly an amazing pressing.
