I think I received a faulty one, as it's quite loud and doesn't sound all that impressive. It comes across as dull, and the treble is quite sharp. Plus, my unit is significantly bent.
Lord Finesse returns with his third project, "The Awakening," and it's a fantastic listen. This album is packed with classic, dope beats and features some stellar collaborations with artists like Oc, Krs-One, Ag, and Diamond D, just to name a few. The production on this album is top-notch. You've got those deep, funky basslines, samples from soul and jazz tracks, killer vocals and rhymes, and that signature funky sound that you'd expect from a Lord Finesse album. "Actual Facts" might just be the standout track, and honestly, the whole album is a timeless piece of work. The only minor downside to this release is the number of interludes and skits—there are 7 in total. But don't let that deter you, because they're all packed with some of the best beats Lord Finesse has ever made. If you're a fan of hip-hop, you'll absolutely love "The Awakening." Here's the deal: if you can only buy one album this year, do yourself a favor and grab this one. Any true hip-hop fan will adore "The Awakening.
Two copies I had were both bent and super loud even with an ultra sound clean. I'm gonna get the CD version instead.
