Product description

Immerse yourself in the hauntingly beautiful world of "Tell Me Why," the original game soundtrack composed by the talented Ryan Lott. Released on September 24, 2020, under Microsoft Studios Music, this 46-minute album is a masterful blend of intricate compositions that perfectly complement the episodic adventure game of the same name, developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Xbox Game Studios.

Ryan Lott's work on "Tell Me Why" is a testament to his ability to weave complex, acoustically thoughtful stories through music. The soundtrack features 20 tracks, each contributing to the game's intimate mystery and the poignant journey of twins Tyler and Alyson Ronan. From the haunting melodies of "Faded Memories" to the intense crescendos of "Go Big or Go Home," Lott's compositions are both evocative and deeply personal.

The album's intricate details and thoughtful arrangements make it a standout in the realm of video game soundtracks. Whether you're a fan of the game or simply appreciate exquisite music, "Tell Me Why" offers a rich auditory experience that lingers long after the final note fades.

This LP was released in 2022.

There's a fair bit of popping and crackling on my copy, sadly. It's not too bad for the first half, but around the middle of the second side, it becomes quite noticeable. Perhaps it just needs a thorough cleaning (I've got a couple of brushes and some cleaning solution, but no ultrasonic cleaner or anything like that), because I can't spot any obvious issues just by looking. However, it's a shame that - at least for now - the noise on the record does take away from how dynamic and atmospheric it can sound at its best moments. The packaging is quite nice otherwise, though! The brown/maroon vinyl isn't flashy, but it matches the color and vibe of the cozy artwork on all the printed components. And the embossing on the cover to go with the quilted look is a really nice touch! Update: Okay, the quality control on this album seems to be not great. Got a replacement copy and it had a repeating crackle/pop through most of side A despite no visible scratches, to the point where I think the replacement might actually be worse than my initial copy. :( Lovely album to have on vinyl, but beware that actually getting a decent copy may be tough.
