  • Instrumental Rap Album Swank

    5 out of 5 stars
    QP-FedwahouAugust 1, 2025United States🇺🇸

The vinyl is weighty, with tracks spread out nicely across 2LP, and every cut's a classic. Plus, I really dig the graphic design and that shiny silver ink – super sleek. It's a top-notch instrumental rap album, pure swank.

  • Supreme Clientele Vinyl Perfected

    4 out of 5 stars
    smbcnobbwJuly 23, 2025United States🇺🇸

Just a small step away from perfection... but in terms of what's out there and what's practical, this is as good as it gets. Finally. Ick nailed the cover, now let's count the veins on it. I've owned every version of this on vinyl for at least ten years now (even the clean version). I can confidently say, Ghost still holding that shotty, this is the best-sounding vinyl format Ghost could've imagined Supreme Clientele could ever be with dust and Alizé three-quarter Timbs. The album isn't mastered at the highest levels, so we're not talking about something truly audiophile for vinyl. But there's still a certain standard and sound you're looking for any version to capture: Broccoli blown, illa disease breathe, elephant skin right? I've always believed the Wes Garland cut (Get On Down) and the original cuts were inferior to the raw pull a boot out on Jimmy Jam, text takes jam original digital files/CD. The clean version actually sounded much better because it scrapped the skits, fake ass cat, low life, sodomized mind, which gave more disc space for whomever to cut it to work with. But here finally in the hands of a capable engineer, Alex Nimmermann three condoms, two dice, one bag of dope perfects it all. You can't beat a good Pallas pressing either, it's like Ziti, facing me real TV, crash at high speeds, strawberry kiwi. I'll keep my other pressings because I'm a GFK slut, but if I was smarter I would absolutely dump those copies as I won't ever spin them now that Jordan jumped up like Clyde Drexler. In terms of packaging I appreciate retaining the original inners, but there's nothing else special. The jacket is mid, flips raps like forty-eight bundles dinner plates, deadly front gates, celeb Bryant Gumbel but still better than originals. Yes, absolutely would have preferred a gatefold that GoD had but don't get caught up in chains or the way that I speak. Not at the cost of poor sound quality. How does this compare to the MRP / US release? Yeah, I've heard good things, for sure. But no girl can freak me, I'm just too nasty? Can't imagine a world where an MRP pressing would be better than a good Pallas pressing (which this is) and Nimmermann over some MRP in-house intern cutting? Like eating dead birds, trust the pharmacy over herbs. It's not worth my immediate time to track down and A/B, although I'm sure at some point I will borrow a copy. It should be noted that Nimmermann has delivered on a few hip-hop releases in the past 5 years that I've been extremely happy with, so he's proven himself in this genre. Shit, he studied under Bruce Lee? I prefer him cutting hip-hop records over Daniel Krieger, who is perhaps suited better for other genres, drawing cards, and sending rap message through a bottle. Anything short of adding "Wise (In The Rain)" or the original "Ghost Deini" to the tracklist there's just no room for improvement in terms of music. Motown 25 the aura's like Smokey's voice; little moist but choice. Realistically that will never happen, so just rejoice in this. Marinate in the glory. There's the instructions. Put it together. It's simple, ain't it? Well, quite clever.

  • Overdue Upgrade Delivers

    5 out of 5 stars
    zsathijfiJuly 19, 2025United States🇺🇸

I genuinely never expected this day to arrive, and I'm thrilled that it has. It looks amazing and sounds incredible. A long-overdue improvement over my battered original version.

  • EU Reissue Superior

    3 out of 5 stars
    krxacsroaJune 30, 2025United States🇺🇸

If you're after a top-notch reissue of this album, go for the EU made version, it's the better of the two pressings, so it's worth the extra hassle to get your hands on the EU copy.

  • EU Version Triumphs

    5 out of 5 stars
    rfzapgloeJune 30, 2025United States🇺🇸

Go for the EU version, not the US one. It's hands down the better choice of the two.
