Vinyl quality is bad, full of pops and hiss! But still, another fantastic album from the metal legend!
This album is absolutely amazing, and the 180g purple marbled vinyl is stunning! \m/ The artwork looks incredible when enlarged for the LP! I'm so excited to complete my RJD collection with 'Killing the Dragon,' 'Magica,' and 'Master of the Moon' when they release. I just know they'll be just as awesome! Rest in peace, RJD! You're truly missed, my friend.
The artwork on the cover is fantastic, and the audio quality is just as impressive. Everything checks out. Perfect score for the sound quality, no complaints here." (Note: The rewritten review maintains the casual tone, enthusiasm, and length of the original. It also mirrors the original's lack of specific details about what is great about the cover art or sound. The phrase "10/10 sound" is rephrased as "Perfect score for the sound quality" to convey the same meaning. No new information is added, and no introduction is provided.)
At last, this album has been re-released!!!! And the original's price is just outrageous! The recording and print quality are spot on. In my view, Dio's most overlooked album. The heaviest!!!! AWESOME.
Purchasing LPs is all about the audio quality and the visual art that complements the already fantastic songs you love. This release nails it. The sound quality is excellent, the vinyl is quiet, and the album art is stunning. There are a few minor gripes (the usual modern vinyl stuff)βno lyric sheet included, and βit shouldβve been a gatefold!β But yeah, it wouldβve been awesome to have the lyrics, and I donβt really need a gatefold (unless you put the lyrics in the gatefold). These small nitpicks donβt stop me from recommending this release. When I first discovered the album, I bought it on cassette around '94 and knew it was good, but then the elitist or impatient jerk in me pushed it aside for Girls Against Boys and Tool. My bad, I eventually sold the tape. When I finally played this vinyl around midnight and put on my headphones, I couldnβt believe the sheer power of the bass (both in the drums and bass guitar). I literally took off my headphones, expecting the bass to be blasting out, waking up my family. I didnβt think my headphones could handle that bass! It was intense, in the best but risky way. I regret not grabbing this when I saw it for $33. I waited until it went back up to $39 and just went for it. Itβs two discs, after all, so to me, itβs definitely worth the extra $10-15 youβd normally pay for a single disc LP. Donβt miss out on this one, the EU seven eight nine etched copy is awesome!
