The audio quality is fantastic, with a strong and clear sound that's not overly compressed. I really like the packaging too, especially the tray that keeps the disc safe. My only small issues are that there's no numbered track list, which makes it a bit tricky to program, and the bonus 12" versions aren't in the order they originally appeared on the album. For instance, I like to swap out the original tracks for their 12" versions.
Top-notch cut. Just like the vinyl version but with extra treats (full insert featuring an interview + a second disc with 12-inch mixes). It sounds fantastic!
Awesome pressing, I snagged a decent copy off Ebay. The vinyl is on the thin side and feels a bit flimsy, but the sound quality is phenomenal. I'm really digging this album and her unique style. Considering it's a 43 year old copy, it plays remarkably well with no skips or loud surface noise to speak of.
This pressing sounds fantastic, it's clear and has no hiss whatsoever. I'm thrilled with my purchase.
This vinyl record is absolutely amazing. The way the highs and lows are balanced is just perfect, really highlighting the excellent quality of the recording. It's almost completely noise-free and has a strong, solid sound. Listening to this vinyl is incredibly soothing. Plus, I'm pretty confident that this album was recorded on analog tape. I mean, Donald Fagen's The Nightfly was released in 1982. Back then, digital recording wasn't all that common, so it's hard to picture this being a digital master. Just a heads up, though, they really cut corners on the later pressings of this vinyl, skipping the shrink wrap and booklet. Because of that, the cases are often a bit dusty, and the overall quality isn't that great. That's the only thing to be cautious about.
