This version is indeed black and lacks the original PVC, but it's fantastic to own this album without spending around 100 bucks. It features the same DAVID CRUSHER mastering and delivers an incredible sound, powerful, bass-heavy, and clear. However, my copy has a noticeable constant surface noise on side D, while the other sides are pretty clean.
Regarding people's inquiries about the repress: Are the discs both black? Yes. Is Carti on yayo? I'm not certain (haven't received it yet) but highly improbable. Does it include the pvc sleeve? Nope. Are Yung Lean's albums getting a repress? Yes, all albums will be pressed throughout the year (confirmed).
The noise on the surface ain't great, but perhaps that's how he intended it. The album's packed and hits hard. What else do you need?
There's a fair bit of surface hiss, which you can really only hear during the quiet bits when I play it on good speakers, but it's quite noticeable with headphones. The paper sleeves aren't great either, but apart from that, the packaging is pretty decent, with a cool poster, postcard, and a lyric/photo booklet. Aside from the surface noise, the sound is fine, maybe I just need to give it a clean, but others are saying it's still noisy after cleaning. And yeah, it does glow in the dark.
The audio quality is fantastic, it's a bummer that it's only available on black vinyl this time, but I'm still really pleased with it.
