Released on August 18, 2021, under Golden Ear Music, this album is a testament to Shearing's enduring mastery and musical prowess.

"Starlight Souvenirs" is a collection of ten enchanting tracks, each a gem in its own right. About George Shearing

George Shearing, the renowned British-American jazz pianist, captivated audiences worldwide with his inventive and melodic style. Born blind in Battersea, London, in 1919, Shearing overcame significant obstacles to become one of the most popular jazz musicians of the 20th century. His career spanned decades, from the 1930s through the 2010s, during which he led a highly acclaimed jazz combo and composed over 300 pieces, including the timeless classic "Lullaby of Birdland." Shearing's talent extended beyond the piano; he was also a gifted arranger and composer, known for his orchestrated jazz and romantic solos. His international reputation was cemented through performances on both the concert stage and in intimate jazz clubs, making him a beloved figure in the jazz community until his passing in 2011.
