About Paul Motian

Paul Motian, born in Philadelphia in 1931, was a pioneering American jazz drummer, percussionist, and composer of Armenian descent. Motian's eclectic discography spans genres from cool jazz and hard bop to free jazz and avant-garde, showcasing his versatility and innovative spirit.
