Lukáš Borzík, an established Slovak composer, presents his latest album "Spevy," a captivating collection of three chamber works released on October 19, 2022, under the Real Music House label. Spanning a duration of 1 hour and 7 minutes, the album is a testament to Borzík's unique dramatic structure and innovative musical language.
"Spevy" opens with "Trúchlenie" (Grieving), a piece that sets the tone for the rest of the album with its introspective and melancholic atmosphere. The second track, "V tichu kameňa vánok" (In the Silence of Stone Gentle Breeze Has Come), offers a stark contrast with its delicate and ethereal qualities.
The heart of the album is the six-movement "Klavírne kvinteto ‚Spevy‘" (Piano Quintet 'Chants'), a monumental work that showcases Borzík's mastery of form and expression.
